• In Filezilla how to make my files CHMOD 666?

Also will this allow me to edit my templates, from within my ADMIN area? Thank You:)

  • Changing_File_Permissions describes changing using Filezilla to change permissions. The developers intended for the wp-content folder to be writeable so you may find that is necessary for the themes folder so you can use Administration > Presentation > Theme Editor.

Dude – you need to get a grip. You have this same stuff in 3 different threads. I know you’re frustrated, but…

ok, I changed my permissions, but it still gives me that line– If this file was writable you could edit it.

So what can you do, I mean how would I save my changes in my templates. I’m calm, I am just trying to provide a path of information that I have been doing so someone can better answer my question.

In Blogger you could change your template then click publish and everything was saved. Can you do this in Admin, then Presentation, in THEME Editor? I have done everything I was told but am unable to save.

Yes you can do that in the theme editor. I’ve not heard of anyone that couldn’t if their files in the theme directory are 666.
If you’re going to make a quick change, you could do 777 – but that is not secure at all, so change it back. In fact, whatever you use, when finished you should CHMOD all files to 644.

Like samboll said, stop posting the same question multiple times. It doesn’t help anybody, ok?

See my reply to the other thread you started.
