fillmode center not responsive

I am trying to create a slideshow with images that have both horizontal and vertical orientation, however, I am having difficulty in getting the vertical images to display properly in fillmode/fit or all of the images in fillmode/center.
When I select fillmode/fit the images are all displayed fully but the vertical images are off center. Searching through your support forums I found where you had recommended using fillmode/center.
Unfortunately with fillmode/center all of the images are cropped when displayed on an iPhone 5 and Iphone 6 (I haven’t tested other smartphones) while they are displayed properly on iPads and PCs.
Please advise.
