• For HTML neophytes or those looking to edit Widget content faster, this Plugin works as advertised.

However, all web content authors should understand HTML basics because it is important for understanding and controlling layout, as well as for SEO.

Content editors should learn to embrace HTML rather than lean on WYSIWYG workarounds that have inherent limitations. Widgets are a perfect opportunity to dive into HTML authoring, so don’t rely on this Plugin to do everything for you.

    Hi Scott,
thanks for reviewing our plugin, but please consider that a 4 stars review is a BAD rating for us (our average is 4.7 actually). Of course you’re free to give the vote you think the plugin deserves, and we appreciate that you gave at least an explanation for not giving the 5th star. Anyway the reason you gave is not actually directly related with the plugin itself. I agree that content editors should have a minimum knowledge of HTML/CSS, but that is out of the scope of the plugin. By the way the plugin is also useful for developers, as it provides some features that are not available with the native WP text widgets, i.e. support for shortcodes, embeds, filter hooks, and so on.
Since this plugin is offered for free, and it requires a big and continuous effort to keep up with development and (free) users support, we would really appreciate to get 5 stars reviews from users. Thanks.
