The filters for the model category leak on to the content creation page. Is it because I created global attributes under products? Is this something I can solve by deleting the attributes under global products and go into each and every product and update the attributes individually for each? What about attributes being only for a category and not a subcategory? For example, kid models have an attribute of tattoos= yes/ no which is only relevant to adult model.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Hello @melankaya Attributes are only assigned to products that they are related to. You may have one tee shirt that only comes in “color” attribute: blue and red and another tee shirt that comes in “color” attribute red, white and blue

    Hi @melankaya

It may not necessarily be due to creating global attributes under products. Global attributes are designed to help streamline the process of assigning attributes to multiple products, so deleting them and manually updating each product is not typically necessary.

What about attributes being only for a category and not a subcategory? For example, kid models have an attribute of tattoos= yes/ no which is only relevant to adult model.

You can certainly set this up. For example, the attribute “tattoos=yes/no” can be set to apply only to the adult model category and not the kid models.

However, it’s important to note that attributes are assigned to products and not categories or subcategories. So, in the case of the “tattoos” attribute, you would assign this attribute to the individual adult models and not to the entire category.

I hope this provides some clarity. Please let us know if you have any other questions!
