Filter by custom field date comparing to current date/time

Hi,
I have and Advanced Custom Field date type and I would like to know if it’s possible to filter results comparing the date stored in that custom field with the current actual date (showing, for example, only the posts in which that date field refers to a day somewhere after present time).
