Filter by price not showing

    Hi,

    After updating the woocommerce plugin on Friday, the filter by price block on the side bar of my product navigation page has suddenly disappeared.
    I checked the widgets area, the ‘filter by price’ is set to show on the side bar, but it’s not showing up on the front end.
    Can you please help me get that filter back to my product navigation page?

  • Hi @joyce2020. How was this filter by price widget created? Was it created using the default WooCommerce widget functionality or another plugin?

    Hi @apmwebdev, Yes, the original price filter was created by the price widget from woocommerce functionality.

    Hi @riaanknoetze
    I added this section from another plugin as a temporary placement, however the price filter slider from woocommerce “filter by price” widget is still not showing up.
    We still want to be able to have a sliding filter instead of a list filter.

    Please find below a screen shot of the price filter we used to have. I have circled the price slider in blue.

    I have circled in blue the price slider that is not showing up on the front end.

    Thanks @joyce2020. I’d recommend conflict testing at this point. You can use the Health Check and Troubleshooting plugin to make this easier. The “troubleshooting mode” of this plugin will allow you to simulate how your site would look and behave with plugins disabled and a default theme without actually changing the site.

    These are the steps you should take:

    1. Back up your site. Many hosting providers offer a way to do this, and there are plugins such as WP Database Backup that offer this functionality if backing up your database through your host is not an option.
    2. Update all your plugins and your theme to their latest versions and see if the problem fixes itself.
    3. Turn on Troubleshooting Mode in the Health Check plugin by going to Tools > Site Health > Troubleshooting and clicking “Enable Troubleshooting Mode.” Then, while in Troubleshooting Mode:
    4. Make sure your theme is set to Twenty Twenty.
    5. Make sure all plugins are deactivated, and then activate WooCommerce.
    6. Repeat the action that is causing the problem.

    If you’re not seeing the same problem after completing the conflict test, then you know the problem was with the plugins and/or theme you deactivated. To figure out which one is causing the problem, reactivate them one by one, testing after each, until you find the one causing conflict.

    I got the price filter back by de-activating woocommerce plugin and re-activating it.

    The price filter is back, but it looks and functions a bit different from the filter we had before.

    Please see below a comparison of the two versions –

    The price filter used to filter automatically when we move the handles to change the range, now we have to press “filter” after adjusting the price range.
    Is this something that came with the plugin update, or is this something we can configure?
