    Hi,

just wanted to ask if there is any way you could add a filter that is applied to the output of an ad or group. I would like to work with some placeholders in Ads that are defined in a global Config. Those can vary quite a bit so working with shortcodes can be quite the hassle, so if we could just apply a filter to replace those Variables in the Ad that is being output to the Frontend.

Just filtering the output of the “adrotate_group” and “adrotate_ad” should do the Trick mostly I think.

Placeholder ads for when no other ads are available?
You can use a Fallback group for that in AdRotate Pro.

No, the idea is a campaign Management Layer on top of Ads/Groups. I want to write an add-on that can store, variables like a Headline-Text/Colors/Images etc. Those Variables are then supposed to injected into a stencil Markup kept in the ads/groups. The idea is to create different Layouts like e.g. a bar or column layout for single ads, but keep the same Contents (and have those contents managed in one place to avoid any errors in Content Updates, like missing one single Ad or Group).

I don’t really understand what you’re trying to do, but I’m not planning on adding filters.
So for your mod you may have to add something for that as well, or find another way to hook into the plugin.

That is unfortunate to hear. Thanks anyways for your consideration and time
