Hi, in creating a new feed. Variable products chosen. I add only one filter to filter out all out of product products.

I have tried all the following variations:

availability is equal to out of stock exclude
availability is equal to in stock include only
    quantity is less than 1

When I download the xml file to see in all these cases, I still see all the out of stock products in the xml file. What could I be doing wrong?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi Spinshock,

Thanks for using our plugin and reaching out to us. One of the variations you used really should work. This is the one:

Make sure you do not have the ‘cs’ checkbox marked.

    Just to make sure:
    1. Did you manually refreshed the product feed after you created the rule?
    2. Ae you running a caching plugin that caches the product feed? If so, clear the cache when you make changes to the feed.

    Hope this helps?

    All the best,
    Eva

Hi, I do have a siteground cache plugin. I tried clearing the cache before refreshing the feed and it did the trick.

Since my feed will be automatically refreshed daily. If a product becomes out of stock and I don’t manually clear the cache before the next auto refresh, will the same problem happen?

we don’t have experience with siteground but I am pretty sure you can exclude certain categories from caching. So just make sure that the category in which the product feeds are saved is not being cached.

    Best,
    Eva
