I downloaded and installed the Image Widget plugin, and I was able to replicate your symptoms. I disabled the MLA Media Manager enhancements and found that the WordPress default filter dropdown for MIME type is missing from the toolbar as well. This means that the problem lies in the way that Image Widget builds the Media Manager popup and has nothing to do with MLA.

You will have to take this matter up with the authors of the Image Widget plugin. I regret there is nothing I can do to help.

By the way, this kind of issue is not limited to the Image Widget plugin. Here’s an earlier support topic about a different plugin with a similar problem:

    Problem with Simplefields

Thanks for your interest in the Media Library Assistant. I’m going to mark this issue resolved because MLA is not involved, but please let me know if you have any other problems or questions

I have released MLA v1.90, which changes the way controls are added to the Media Manager Modal Window toolbar. In my testing, this resolves the issue you reported with Image Widget.

Please update this topic if you are still having trouble after upgrading to the new version. Thanks for bringing this issue to my attention and for you patience while I resolved it.
