    Yeah, that’s not going to work, as Relevanssi requires the “s” parameter to be present.

    It’s possible to create a search that searches only the custom field, but it gets a little bit complicated. The best approach is to probably use the relevanssi_match filter to skip the matches that don’t come from custom fields… but I don’t know, it’s certainly more complicated than I can explain here.

    So I’d start by looking at the search.php for information on how the relevanssi_match filter works, that’s probably the best approach.

    Thanks for the suggestion. I’ll probably end up creating a custom query & using byline as a a parameter. But the relevanssi_match filter looks useful for other search improvements. Thanks!
