We currently have the Google Pay / Apple Pay feature enabled on our cart page, however we would also like to add this to the checkout page to help users checkout faster. However, when enabling this option for checkout it appears right at the top of the checkout form (which also messes up the layout on desktop as the site is responsive).

We would like to find out the filter / webhook used to pull this feature into the checkout, so that we can re-arrange it closer to where the other payment methods are located using some code.

    Please advise.

    Hello waterworks901,

Thank you for contacting WooCommerce support.

Could you please share some screenshots and the link to your website?

I’d like to take a closer look at how the layout appears and see if we can find a way to reposition the Google Pay/Apple Pay buttons to align with your other payment methods.

Once I see what’s happening, I can provide more specific guidance.

Looking forward to your response. ??

    Hi Zubair,

Thank you for your response, below are links to some screenshots of the checkout and the way it is currently being displayed.

Unfortunately a link to the site would not be useful as the feature is not currently enabled on checkout pages. The reason for this is that it does not work too well with the responsive nature of the site, messing up the layout, so we will not look to enable it until we can work on a fix.

Hopefully you can establish what I am referencing from the screenshots provided.

    Hello waterworks901,

    Thank you for your reply.

WooPayments doesn’t offer an option to change the location of the Express Checkout method by default.

However, here’s a GitHub link that provides a code snippet to move the Express Checkout method to the bottom of the checkout page:

Please note that custom code falls outside the scope of our support policy.
If you require any help with code, I recommend consulting a developer.

Please don’t hesitate to contact us again if you have more questions or concerns.
We are here to help ??

    Best regards.

    Hi Zubair,

Thank you for the suggestion. We had previously explored this option, but the class is incorrect and not specific to the Woopayments plugin. Instead I think this class relates to the Stripe plugin for Woocommerce.

The class “WC_Stripe_Payment_Request” does not appear to be present for the Woopayments plugin. Can you please help me to identify the correct class, or webhook that is used to pull in the feature so I can get this piece of code to work?

    Thanks again!

    Hello waterworks901,

    Thank you for your reply.

You’re right; the class you mentioned is specific to the Stripe plugin and not WooPayments.

Currently, WooPayments doesn’t offer a built-in option to reposition the Google and Apple Pay buttons. For a custom solution, I recommend reaching out to a developer through Codeable or WooExperts.

If you need further guidance or have any other questions, feel free to reach out.

    Best regards.
