Filter result doesn’t change if parent category selected

Hi,
i’ve a problem with filter results.
In my store i have a parent category with many children categories.

I’m using a checkbox with OR filter logic.

If i select the parent category all the products will be shown.
Then if i check a child category filter results don’t change because they are already selected with the parent category.
is it possible to add a script that if you check a child category uncheck automatically the parent category?
