Do you think you guys could have the option to disable the robots.txt file simpler as default within the plugin? Many people do not have access to the Text Editor to do so, I had to use this solution I found in a forum.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hello @leadstartorg

    Thanks for reaching out.

Are you referring to disabling your robots.txt file? Even if you have access to the file editor through Yoast SEO, there’s no feature under the file editor to disable the file.

<span style=”box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;”>If you are referring to editing the?robots.txt?file but you don’t have access to the file editor, that’s not due to our plugin.</span> Your site needs to meet the following requirements:

    1. Enable file editing, which is the default option for most WordPress installs
    2. Set server-level permissions to?allow writing to files, specifically the robots.txt file.

Since you do not see the option to create or edit the file, WordPress has?disabled file editing, or your server doesn’t allow writing to the file. Your web host can help you enable these features if you want to use Yoast SEO to edit the robots.txt file. Alternatively, you can always?create or edit the file at the server level.

The question pertained to whether this feature could be incorporated in the upcoming release. I have already found a solution. The rationale behind its importance is that display errors were appearing in the robots.txt file, which is problematic. It would be more effective to maintain a static text file.
