Filter shared url to restore old share counts

Hey!

Great plugin.
I’m using it for all my sites.

Recently we relaunched a clients website. With it we changed the URL schema. Also moved some content from a static site with own URL schema into one WP.
Because of this change to the URLs now the share counts show 0 or nothing. Reason is that FB sees the new URL as new content and doesn’t follow the 301.

I would like to change the URL that is provided to FB (maybe also other services) to restore the previous like and share count.

For some posts I got the guid data from the old instance and some posts have custom fields containing the old URL.
I need a filter to send the “original” URL to fetch the right number and also let users like the right OG object.

Have seen you don’t like the idea of a URL filter from this post https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/filter-for-home_url/. Hope this use case is convincing.
