Hello, I need to insert the portfolio translating different languages, but I can’t do it, so I create different projects for every language.
Basically the code doesn’t show the categories to filter the portfolio, but if I change the code inside loops/loop-portfolio.php, if I delete or comment the line
    <?php if ( post_type_exists( 'jetpack-portfolio' ) && ! ( is_tax( 'jetpack-portfolio-type' ) || is_tax( 'jetpack-portfolio-tag' ) ) ) : ?>
it shows the categories but it shows all, not just the ones I have shown in this page (so, it shows the categories of other languages).
    I can’t understand where I was wrong.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi, thanks for reaching out.

I’m working on recreating the issue.

    * Is there a page where the Project Types filter terms are displayed?

    * At Portfolio > Project Types in WordPress, have types been added?

    Hi, thanks for you answer.
    – I can’t see the filter in any page (unless I comment the code I wrote, but in that case I see them all)
    – I added all the types and I assigned each to the projects

Thanks for the update. I’m unable to replicate the issue at the moment. I’ve asked Alex at SiteOrigin to take a look and let you know what he finds.

    Hi,

I’ve run a few tests and I’ve been unable to replicate this result also.

    – I can’t see the filter in any page

Are the Jetpack Portfolio Tags and Categories set to be translatable? You can check this by navigating to WPML > Settings and scroll down to the Taxonomies Translation section. Please ensure the first radio for Project Types (jetpack-portfolio-type) and Project Tags (jetpack-portfolio-tag) are ticked. Here’s a screenshot of how this will look like this:

Please then revert the file edit you made. If it still doesn’t work as desired, can you please link me to the page this is happening on so I can inspect the results?

    Kind regards,
    Alex
