    Hi,

I have a custom post type called movie, I’ve created two custom hierarchical taxonomies called Genre and Target Audience. On the dropdown options in the filter box, I want to be able to select a genre and a target audience and then filter with both, but when I do that it goes to a 404 page. Is it not possible to do this? Does one of them need to be non-hierarchical so they’re not the same? I can see in the screenshots on here that you can, so not sure what I’m doing wrong?

    Thanks!

Never mind, I figured it out. Was adding a hyphen to my URL for some reason. Fixed in functions.php file.

Apologies for the extra post, but is it possible to select multiple options in a certain dropdown? So for genre, can I select both Action AND Crime for example?

    Thanks

    hi Amurado,

Great that you got it solved!

I’m afraid it’s not currently possible to select multiple terms in one dropdown at this time. It is high up on the to-do list tho.. The biggest issue is with pretty permalinks so there might be an option to disable url rewriting in favor of multiple choices.
