• Hi again… I have a NEW problem. I have finished validating my site, and now I cant make work the plugins…
Dean Logan, maker of wp-people, told me this:
“””I am guess you will have to do your index.php page from scratch or something. The content is not being filtered. You should probably take this issue up in the forum.”””
However, how can I make the content to be filtered? I have about 5 plugins activated (Acronyms, Hello Dolly, Search Highlight, etc) But NONE are working. I am lost. I dont know what I have to do.
Thanks in advance for your support.

  • Have you tried deactivating those, and trying another 1 or 2 ?
The validation won’t have had any bearing on it..

I have tried by ativating only one, and then only another, and nothing…
    why it is not “filtering”?

The really kind CabbagePatchKid hepled me in the irc, and we did this:
1.-Checked the MYSQL DB and the database does update with the appropriate information.
2.- We get a fatal error caused by Acronymit
The only file modified was functions.php and when we replace it with the original is when we get the fatal error. You can check the modified functions.php file here:
    https://eltintero.net/functions.phps
3.-We’ve done the other basic troubleshooting (making sure errors are turned on and showing all, meet the WP requirements to run, etc).
However, Im still having problems, becauyse of this.

I hope that the furus can take a pic here, thanks to everyone.

    Nobody? Please!!!

Take it step by step. First, deactivate all of your plug-ins and then delete them all.
Then, rename your current index.php file to something like index.bak and my-hacks.php to my-hacks.bak and re-upload all the 1.2 mingus files.
Now turn on just Google hilighter. See if that works.
If it does, turn on the next one.
Now if all of your plug-ings work, then go back and restore your index.php.
Then if that works, restore the my-hacks.php.

ThX welsper. just a questions… I just reupload, but DO NOT upgrade, is that right?

I did as you say, and in the Admin Menu, at the very top, I have this error:
Parse error: parse error in /home/jesus/public_html/weblog/wp-admin/admin-functions.php on line 380
However, admin-functions.php has only 378 lines!!! Isnt it weird! I think that there are ghosts or spirits in my blog or something.
    Now, what do I do?
    Thanks again

At which step did this occur? After fresh upload? Before turning on plugin x? Just backtrack. See if you can identify the step that caused this.

    Just after the upload.

Only things I can think of:
    – my-hacks.php is still enabled. Disable it if it is.
    – Your uploading program is appending an extra space or newline.

My-Hacks is desactivated since I began having problems with the plugins, a lot of time before I followed your instructions.
I am using FileZilla… Which one do you recommend?
I will be today, or tomorrow, in the IRC, maybe someone there can help me.
    Thanks again, welsper.
