Filtering HTML entities?

  • I would love to strip out HTML entities from my excerpts, as they are used in emails to my subscribers (via the Subscribe2 plugin) and certain characters are causing encoding problems. For instance, the nonbreaking space ( ) shows up in some clients like this:

    B!

    and in others like this:

    ?

    Is there any way to make Advanced Excerpts strip out HTML entities the way it strips HTML tags?
