Filters not working

For some reason our feed is showing all our products from a couple categories but not in others (which we want, though I am not sure how it’s doing that as there were no filters). I tried to add a filter to exclude a specific category and nothing happens. I’ve tried using the product name and availability and still nothing. The issues is we have hundreds of products showing up in our feeds when we really only have a couple dozen.
