filter/search issue

Thank you for your vote of confidence, for this question and for posting the links to Slider Revolution and the screen shot.

I followed the link to Slider Revolution; it looks like a terrific product. Sadly, it’s not a free plugin so I can’t try it our on my test system.

Your screen shot looks like it’s from one of the “other sites” because the filter dropdown is showing up; is that right? When you use Slider Revolution, is the problem limited to the filter dropdown, i.e., do the enhanced search box and year/month dropdowns still show up?

As those topics indicate, there is no standard way for plugins to extend or share the toolbar in the Media Manager Modal Window. Each plugin (including MLA) does this differently.

I regret that there is not a better answer to your question at this time. If you want to take this up with the author(s) of Slider Revolution I would be happy to work with them in any way I can to improve things.

In the meantime I got in contact with the Revolution Slider team. Someone worte me back that they will think about to fix the problem in one of the next updates (maybe :-)…
Because the ‘enhanced search box’ is showing up correctly I thought to filder my images via the search – ad interim.
Is there a way to search after ‘att. categories’?

Thanks for your update. If the Slider Revolution people want it I am happy to help them.

The Att. Categories dropdown seems to be a special issue – I do not know why.

I am working on enhancements for filtering by Att. Categories and other taxonomies for a future MLA version. This has come up several times in the support forum:

I have released MLA v1.90, which changes the way controls are added to the Media Manager Modal Window toolbar. In my testing, this resolves the issue you reported with Slider Revolution.

The latest release also includes the new “Terms Search” feature and adds “Terms” to the list of fields for the Search Media box. These features are available on the Media/Assistant submenu and in the Media Manager Modal Window.

Please give the new features a try and let me know if you have any problems, questions or suggestions for further improvement. Thanks for motivating an enhancement to the plugin!
