    Hi wordpress users,

Before I started with WordPress I did make use of Joomla. But soon I started to realize that WordPress was very much better in user interface than Joomla was.

So, at first I started to explore the site admin, which was understandable very quickly. I downloaded a theme, installed it and edited it. Downloaded some plugins and ended up with this design.

I hope u all like my portfolio and if u have any feedback, tips or suggestions, feel free to ask me.

    Regards,

    Filthstift, Amsterdam

i love 960 grid. Can not even explain why .)
Your site looks very nice. Good work .)
    But i’d make some suggestions.

    1. Change the background color of #main to #1b1b1b (the bg color of the sidebar) or another.
Using solid black is not a good practice, because your eyes will get tired too fast.

    2. Change the background image.
It’s a large picture 1600×1200, it takes ages for it to download.
Try using pattern 20×20, your site users will tell you Thanks.

    3. Enlarge the main font size.
It’s too small and hard to read. Remember that white-on-black requires bigger font size than black-on-white.
Though 12px is ok, making it 13 or even 14 won’t be a bad idea.

    4. I don’t really like “Sites” as a main page.
I really don’t get where i am and what i’m looking at.
    Is it really a portfolio?
Than you got the wrong theme. Look for another one, there are plenty of them, made specially for portfolios.

    Hi Pioneerka,

    Thanks for your feedback.

    1. A good idea and explanation to change the black background into a dark grey one. The logo actually is slowly starting to fade out into the darkness(more black than grey). Maybe must chang the logo too.

    2. I like using patterns, but they look the same at every part. And for this wall picture you can see it is a complete wall, not some texture. But I am still thinking what to do with it.

    3. You are right on the fonts. I edited it. It looks better now.

    4. I changed “Sites” into “Projects”. Yeah, it is really a portfolio.

Why does I have a wrong theme? I don’t want to have the same portfolio sites as everybody else has. So, I stick with this one!

    Thanks again.

    Bye
