• Hello!
I’m using Verona Lab statistics for wordpress.
Recently I had a surge of visitors/page views [~100 times of average] but sadly I wasn’t able to find out from where these visits came and which article(s) they were looking up / reading. Or which link they were following (came from?)

    In the plugin it says
“.. This plugin gives you the complete information on your website’s visitors.
    Version 14.1.2 | Von VeronaLabs ..”

Sorry, no it doesn’t – this does not work, maybe I’m just too dumb to find the information that might be hidden somehow …

Best regards & thank you in advance for your effort!

    Hello @wvs2,

Thank you for contacting us. I hope this email finds you well.

Based on the information provided, it appears that the sudden surge in your statistics is likely due to bots and crawlers. To address this issue, I recommend testing the features available in the WP Statistics plugin’s Exclusions setting page. This will allow you to block these bots from being included in your statistics. Additionally, the Exclusions page offers other useful features that can help you obtain more accurate stats for your website.

WP Dashboard > Statistics > Settings > Exclusions

Please make use of these features and kindly provide us with your feedback.

    Best regards.

Thank you for the answer & I’m sorry for the delay – I wasn’t aware that the mails account settings had been erased which led to no incoming mails shown in the mailbox.

    My question was:
Recently I had a surge of visitors/page views [~100 times of average] but sadly I wasn’t able to find out from where these visits came and which article(s) they were looking up / reading. Or which link they were following (came from?)

The answer is not dealing with what I asked.

    Plus:

As long as I don’t know who is visiting from where I am not able to block their access. So I’m back at square one ….
