I have a theme that is really essential to my blog.

    Theme-Name:Rustic
    Theme-Author:Patrick Bagby
    Theme-Version:2.1.6
    Theme-Last-Updated:March 6, 2012
    Active-Installations:500+
    WordPress-Version:
    PHP-Version:

I upgraded recently to PHP 7.3, and a lot of my themes broke. I don’t want to give up the theme.

I can’t find a way to get with this developer. How can I get this theme updated?

Also, the information above is from a page updated January 2020 (although it says the last update was in 2012)?

    Can anyone help?

The theme’s support forum is https://www.ads-software.com/support/theme/rustic
You can see the Author URI in the style.css file.
I doubt you will get the author to update it, though, since it’s been 9 years without updates.
You can use the PHP Compatibility Checker plugin to scan it and see what needs changing. If you don’t know PHP, you can find someone at jobs.wordpress.net .
Also, the Javascript might have old jQuery functions, which would need updates.
Any update to the theme repository should meet current requirements. I doubt this theme does.

It would be easier to get a modern theme and tweak it to how you prefer.
