Finding WP Version Number WITHOUT Access to the Front End

  • I have an old WP site that was hacked a few years ago. Because of that, it was taken offline by my host. However, I still have access to all the files via Cpanel.

    I am trying to find the version number of my site, so I can put it on a new server and then begin updating it to the current WP build.

    Any idea where I can find the version number in my files? As I mentioned, the site is not visible via the web (even for me), so I need to go into the files to find the number.
