• I just tested the plugin,
it seems that it is what I need, but I already encountered two problems.

It says new subscriber, but I think that should have been new subscription. Really confusing.
The second is that a user at subscriber level cannot see the plugin. I had to set it at least as contributor in order to make visible the plugin. After I figured out these, it was ok, the mail for the new post was queued fine, sent (manually) But still waiting for the mail to come. I have to figure where it got stuck. I hope to pass over this because I like the plugin.

My bad, the plugin is better than I expected. (I never RTFM, and noticed the widget after I commented. )
It can subscribe using only the email, no need to be a user in WP

That confusion about subscriber/subscription still remains. As admin it would be ok, add subscriber if there will be a field to add/edit the email address.

Anyway, since it is working, this finesse thing is not an real issue. Especially for a free thing.

Thanks a lot for this plugin.

Hmm, actually it is correct subscriber, and there is a field for adding/editing the address, but being named title I took it literally, as a title/ name for respective subscriber/subscription.

The plugin is great. The user can edit the subscription with a new subscribe. The old list is replaced by the new one.
