• I’m trying to create a new user (/wp-admin/user-new.php) in Firefox, but every time I submit I get an error message that the Passwords do not match. There is only one password field; however, inspect shows there is a hidden second password field.

This is only in Firefox, Chrome works out fine, but I have admins who prefer FF over Chrome. Any ideas on how to fix this issue?

  • Are you using the latest version of Firefox? Did you try Firefox in another computer? It looks like it might be related to the browser.

Having same issue can’t add any new users at the moment WordPress 5.7.2 and Firefox 89.0.1

I just wanted to chime in here and say that I’ve seen some sites have the same issue. I’m running FF 89.0.2 and it’s happening 9 times out of 10 when I go to add a user. The password show/hide appears to not work when I’m unable to add a user. I’ve tried Jquery enable migrate helper and that didn’t work. I also tried adding define( 'SCRIPT_DEBUG', true ); as suggested by this thread: https://core.trac.www.ads-software.com/ticket/52086#comment:23. However – we have no issues when using Chrome to add users.

I have the same problem on firefox 92.0

Same issue here, it will work occasionally but works with zero issues in Chrome.

    Same issue here.

    Firefox 94.0.1

    Any help?
