    Hello everyone,
does anyone know why i cant go into mylocalsupport.com.au/admin? this is the message Im getting. I have tried to delete the plugin on my host account and it doesnt fix it and the themes?

How can I fix this? Do you think it has something to do with my filezilla?

    Server not found
Firefox can’t find the server at mylocaloutsource.com.au

Check the address for typing errors such as
    ww.example.com instead of
    https://www.example.com
If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer’s network
    connection.
If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure
that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.

This may not be a WordPress problem specifically:

It’s just me. I checked other sites and they are ok?

I can’t see it – get the same error. Is this a recent problem – i.e. it’s worked fine before? Have you checked with your hosting company?

It all started when I changed the domain name from my local support.com to mylocalbusinesssupport.com. I have contacted the host and they say there is nothing wrong with it.

It worked perfectly prior to changing the name.

Did you point the new domain name to your hosting account? It may take some time for the change to take effect–a day or two sometimes.

Whois shows that domain as unregistered.

EDIT: Scratch that. I left off the .au.

You gave me a heartattack bill – phew!!! Yes I pointed the new domain.

Would it have something to do with my firezilla?

    (@chubbycrow)

    Sorry about that!

I’m a little confused about what your goal is. I get mylocalbusinesssupport.com.au to load fine here, but the page title is mylocaloutsource.com.au

My goal is to be able to load the pages within the website. For instance when I press the following tabs, home, benefits, contact forms, fees, services the pages don’t load. I also can’t go into mylocalbusinesssupport dashboard either.

Originally I setup the website with the name mylocaloutsource.com.au and change the domain to mylocalbusinesssupport.com.au. How would I get to change the page title?

Would the problem be that I have disabled java?

    Bill

    (@chubbycrow)

Your page titles will take their cues from WP > settings > general > site title. Likewise you will want to check your site and wp addresses there as well. I think the site you set in WP settings is what WP will expect you to login through.

I now see the trouble you mentioned about pages not loading. I hadn’t tried to click beyond the main page before. Do you still own mylocaloutsource and the other one you mentioned? Best to decide on your main domain (mylocalbusinesssupport ?) and if you still need them, have the others redirect or parked there. Talk to your webhost and get their advice on the best approach for your setup, though, before making any big changes. Your wp-config file and your database will all need to be happy together.

Depending on how you have WP installed, you might want to refer to this page of the Codex for important details and instructions if anything needs to be moved or updated.

Java should not be a problem. Disabled is the best form of Java. ?? Javascript is something completely different, and is a good thing.

Yes i own both and just want to use the mylocalbusinessupport.com.au.

Your wp-config file and your database will all need to be happy together. what can i do to make them happy? :O) Do i check these files with my host or on my firezilla? I really unsure as to what i shoudl be looking for?

thanks for your patience bill, i really appreciate your help.

Sorry, I was gone for the day. I’m going to assume you haven’t worked this out yet.

Since you can’t log in, you’ll need to either use Filezilla (which I think you said you are using), or log in your hosting account and use their file manager. You will be able to make the simple changes you need so WP can find your files again. WP is still looking at your old url.

Before you make any changes though, log in to your hosting account and use their tools to download a backup copy of both your database and your site (separately). With backups, you can always get back to where you were if you hit a snag.

Do that, and then we can get you fixed up in the next step.

    Hi Bill,

Yes still struggling, I have had this response from the hosting company – ventraip.
Only changing primary domain name means when you browse “mylocalbusinesssupport.com.au” it will show your “mylocaloutsource.com.au” site web contents.
So if you want to create a new site “”mylocalbusinesssupport.com.au” for this domain. Then you will need to upload a new web contents for this site using ftp or file-manager tab under cPanel.

Is this the samething as what you are suggesting?

OK just so Im clear, before I do anything I will go to the HOsting and ask for a backup so if it stuffs up. I have just emailed the hosting company about a backup. Loads of hours of work on this, I would hate to lose it all.

Then I will go to Firezilla or Hosting account to make simple changes. What simple changes do I need to make? I am in File Manager at my host, under Cpanel?
