Firefox crashes on initial autosave of draft post/page

This may be firefox, not wordpress, but suddenly yesterday whenever I try to write a post in WP (local installation) as soon as I move from the title field to the body field and it begins to autosave Firefox crashes. This does not happen with IE, though. Thoughts or ideas as to what may be causing this? It’s Firefox 3.0.2.

Will also post in mozilla’s forum to see if they have any ideas.
