    On my site: https://www.withlacoocheegulfpreserve.com
Under photo in top post is a link at “HERE” that brings you to a private page in Firefox. In I.E. the same link brings you to “404 Not Found”
Can anybody suggest a solution to make it compatible in most browsers?
    Thank You!
    Jeff

are you sure you were logged in in both browsers?

i get the same 404 in IE7 and FF3.6, obviously not being logged in.

I am logged in to firefox 3.6 and my correct page (WGP1) shows up. I marked the page private next to the editor box. So you are saying that error page shows up in both browsers? In either case any ideas about the problem? Or how to set a private page differently?
    Thanks!

I just cleared cache in Firefox, then closed and opened the browser. I am still getting the correct page.
I set up the page (as the destination) by making private then titling page and copying permalink and using that as URL link.

    Thanks, JB

I’m getting a page not found on both Firefox and Safari.

At least I know where it is not working. But strange that it shows up on my Firefox correct??
Is there someone that can help with troubleshooting?
    I will appreciate your help.

I’m not convinced there is a problem here. Private pages are supposed to show a 404 if you are not logged into the site.

Well then, I will ask for a solution to this:
I want to link a page in some text(under a photo) on my “post”, to a “page” that has information that I don’t want to show up on a Nav bar. What is the best way to do this? https://www.withlacoocheegulfpreserve
    Thanks!

What code are you using to list pages in the nav bar?

I ended up using categories Nav bar and listed as non private page. I used the WP menu feature: https://www.withlacoocheegulfpreserve.com
I wanted to know if I could have a page that was not visible on Nav bar and only accessible by using a link.
