Wordfence Firewall is active but a message appears saying to optimize the configuration, clicking on the appropriate button the message appears that the configuration has been performed but then after a while the message reappears that says that the configuration is necessary, what can I do? Thanks.

Hi @userweb, thank-you for detailing what you’ve seen in the plugin.

I suspect that the optimization might be failing to stay in place if your host resets .htaccess or .user.ini files after changes are detected by a scheduled task. It could be worth checking in with their support first to make sure Wordfence is able to be optimized on their platform. You may need to select the “INCLUDE” option in our wizard to make sure another file they require in auto_prepend_file is also run when Wordfence runs, for example.

If they don’t see any reason why Wordfence wouldn’t work and you’re getting through the optimization wizard just fine, feel free to send us a site diagnostic so we can check your setup. You can do this from Wordfence > Tools > Diagnostics to us at wftest @ wordfence . com. Click on “Send Report by Email”. Please add your forum username where indicated and respond here after you have sent it.

NOTE: It should look as follows – Screenshot of Tools > Diagnostic > Send by Email

    Thanks,
    Peter.
