The firewall on this site says “Basic WordPress Protection” instead of “Extended” and has a notification “… take a moment to optimize the Wordfence Web Application Firewall”

and on that page it says:

If you don’t recognize this file, please contact us on the WordPress support forums before proceeding.

    /home/…/WP-LC/wp-lc.php

This file is a captcha added by the web host upon login.

How do I proceed to get extended protection?

    Thanks for all you do
(WF blog posts have been awesome lately…)

  • Hi @sillymoney,

That message should also include information regarding how to handle the file.

Since you do recognize the file as something the host has provided, you can click the default button: Include this file (Recommended).

This puts wordfence-waf.php in the auto_prepend_file value, and wordfence-waf.php itself will “include” the original file.
