As I got started I began creating my pages in my production site, which I realized was wrong so I started by creating a underconstruction page. So far so good.
Then I worked on my site on my desktop. I wished to push it to my website hosted by bluehost. I see all of my files from my local box in Cpanel on Bluehost. BUT my old site underconstruction is still being shown. When I go into admin mode to make changes to the production site via WordPress admin it show my old site pages… but not the pages from my new site which I developed.

I do see the plugins listed, as if they need to be activated. When I activate them it still shows the old site but the new pages now appear in the All pages list. It is kind of a mix of the old and new. I see that the licenses I purchased for plugins also did not make its way to the site…

    I know that was a lot, but…
    Where did I go wrong?

You’ll need to move or migrate the stuff on the local box to the production machine.

Where are the files the wordpress dashboard uses to dispay pages? I have emptied all files from the public_html folder. Then pushed the files back to this folder and when I go to the dashboard many of them are there twice. It is very hosed up, thus I ask the question: What files control the wordpress dashboard? And where are they located
