first image always gets selected

thank you for a great plugin. I am using the slick addon.

My issue is that when I click next, the first image on the left automatically gets selected/highlighted. This is especially visible in chrome.

I can see the that the webkit selection tags are correct in the stylesheet so I don’t know what to do.
