First image in slider not sized correctly

    Hi Niloy

    One last little issue where we ask for your help.

    The first image in the slider (the main product image) is not sized correctly. The size settings from the plugin are ignored for the first image.

    The reason seems to be, that for the first image in the slider the original image is used instead of the corresponding resized image based on the plugin settings.

    With this, it looks always a bit strange; do you see a chance to fix this?

    did you try to resize all images?

    Hi Niloy, I know exactly what you mean; the issue also happens if for the image the corresponding resized image is not available – in such cases to regenerate the thumbnails will solve the issue.

    But in the example mentioned, the original image is shown, althought the resized image is available.

    This image is shown in the slider:

    Btw: it happens on all product pages, always the first image is taken from the original image instead of the resized one.

    Hi,
    Send a video (the issue you have) to our support email [email protected] . but before that, please try to temporary disable other plugins and clear the cache (if you have a cache plugin)
    I tested it on our local server and showed the cropped images.

    Hi Niloy

    Before I send a video: I found out that it happens only for products with variants and it’s not depending on any other plugin.

    The first image that appears in the slider and which is not the cropped image is not the product image (as I thought before), it’s the image of the first product variant.

    Can you please test it on your local server with product variants?

    Hi Niloy, I was hunting the issue all the time based on the version that you sent via Dropbox with the correction for the magnifyer topic.

    Finally I found out now, that using the “officially” released version 2.2.3, the issue with the first picture is gone and I close this thread as “resolved”.
