    1. at www.ads-software.com/plugins/alertme/ the screenshot captions do not match the selected image

    2. unless there is a reason not to do so, i think the unsubscribe page should be dynamically generated

    3. be nice to have style (CSS) options for the front-end elements

    4. would like a ‘name’ shortcode that could be used in the email (would have to add the field to the front-end obviously, above/before the email field) ???

    5. on the ‘Alert Me Subscribers’ page, might be nice to link the page title ???

    6. would be nice to be able to customize all messages (success, error)

    7. in my case i have a lot of pages and only a few that i don’t want the plugin to appear – is there a way i can auto-insert the plug on all pages and then deactivate on selected pages? – i might suggest keeping the ‘Show alert me box.’ visible when ‘automatic’ insert is enabled so that this can be done

yes, you should be able to, but it doesn’t work that way

    see my earlier post

did you test the shortcode with classic editor? try placing it in the middle of some content and see where the form shows up on the published page

in addition to my last post, my current settings are…

placement: bottom (this should be able to be overridden by shortcode, but it isn’t)
    post types: page
    visibility: all manual

@werdpres could be a bug. I will spin up a clean WP install and give it a try, and post back up here with my results. Stay tuned.

@werdpres Ok setup a new install and you are right, the shortcode isn’t working as intended. I have a fix however, can you provide me with your email and I will send it to you to test if you don’t mind? Or email me at chris at bloomwp.com. Thanks.

Glad I could help @werdpres. Thanks for reporting the problem to me by the way.

In regards to the [alertme-form-show] shortcode, are you looking for a reference to this under the “Settings” screen?

i think i’m referring to something different than what you’re thinking

what i’m suggesting is to add the user/recipient name in the email that they receive – in order to do that, the WP admin would need a {name} variable (i mistakenly called it a shortcode) that could be used in the email template

in addition of course, a ‘name’ form field would have to be added to the front-facing form

the reason for this being so you could open your email with something like…

    Hello {name}

which would translate to the users name
