First letters in menu does not appear in bold

Can be fixed with:

.navbar .nav > li > a:first-letter {
  font-weight: bold;
}

I’m still on 3.0.10 and it isn’t bold there either. I’m not sure that it ever has been. It has always been 2px bigger though.

I now see from the changes between files that it’s been reduced by 1px from 18px to 17px.
