    Hello,

For some reason, when someone subscribes, their name shows as a number similar to this: 59f13e68d4fa0 inside Constant Contact. Please help me fix this.

Is this happening for everyone, including yourself as a test? Or is it just that some have come through like that?

Chances are it was a spam signup. I know I’ve seen some other similar cases in support, but it’s a very difficult thing to google for to check for specific possible spam attack types.

We would love to help our users with a solution that covers this one, but until we have a better lead on everything, best we can do is enable what spam prevention is already in place and available.

    Hi Michael,

Thanks, I already considered that they were SPAM, but it’s a lot of them and their email addresses look valid. And yes, it happened to me on test as well.

Do you have a link I could see where your form is presently embedded at?

I’m curious if part of the name issue is from other content on the page, if not spam. Especially if your own tested submission came through like that.

I just tested on a dev install and I was not managing to recreate. My first name/last name inputs came through like I typed them.

I have a question Michael. So at first I changed the label for the First Name to just be Name and tried to add the full name there. Could that be the problem?

Also, I changed it to a custom text field and it still did not work.

Here’s the site. It’s the Form in the sidebar: https://burnsmediation.com/.

    Thank you for your help.

I won’t outright rule that first part out, but I am hesitant to say with any assurance that it would be. All that really does is make the field a custom field. Both would still simply take in text input though.

Is the reCAPTCHA part just added this morning? I’m trying to submit to it and it’s giving me “Failed reCAPTCHA check” errors at the moment, which means Google isn’t returning a success status for my attempt. I’m human, I promise ??

Strangely enough, I also got an email confirmation as well.

Funny, your name came through correctly. I deleted you from the list too. Also Recaptcha has been on there since I added the Form.

Interesting. Let us know if anything reverts or presents new issue.
