    Hello, hope everyone is well.

So after installing the W3 Total cache plugin, I followed the step-by-step guide on all the configurations. I did notice a dramatic increase in speed and performance, but have also noticed one re-occurring detail:

Every time you go on the website, no matter what you click on as the first point of interaction (whether it’s a link on the home page or an option from the menu), it’s always quite slow to load. But then afterwards, anything you click on is very fast.

This concerns me as even though the overall performance has increased, the first point of accessing anything is slow and doesn’t add to the user experience. I disabled Object Caching as I read that it can slow down the website, but would it be worth enabling it again and testing it? Has anyone found that Object caching can be problematic?

Is there any way I can find out exactly which type of configuration/caching is causing the slow loading speed of the “first point of interaction”? Or is this to be expected when using a caching plugin?

Any advice would be much appreciated, thank you.

    Hello @ruruuu99

Thank you for reaching out and I am happy to help!
I’ve checked yoru website on my end and the website lods super fast. The TTFB is 89ms which is fantastic and I am not seeing the problem with the first slow loading of the page and I’ve checked this on multiple browsers:

As for the Object Caching and DB Caching, it’s recomended not to use those features in W3 Total Cache if the only caching method available is Disk. If your host supports, you should consider isntalling Redis php or Memcachedphp and use those memory-based caching methods for Object Caching and Database caching.

    Thanks!
