First Steps with WordPress

  • Hi there,
    I have recently installed WordPress and working through the above mentioned documents. However, I can’t find half the buttons that are mentioned in the guide?
    Is this an outdated version?
    I am speficially looking for the categories, manage panel, widgets.
    At the moment, only the following is listed:
    Posts
    Media
    Linds
    Pages
    Comments
    Appearance
    Plugins
    Users
    Tools Settings.

    Any guidance?

  • Categories are inside the “Posts” main menu

    manage panel = ?? probably look inside the Settings.
    Widgets are inside “Appearance”.
