• Ok. My hoster has our domain on a unix server. All the basics are there. we have mysql settings. I have downloaded mysql administrator to handle the db.

How can you tell if the mysql administrator has connected with the database?

And how do I set up a user for wordpress?

    Sorry for the questions
But I have no idea what to do here.

  • well first off do they support fantistico.?? they might have the auto install for it..

and the administrator will be not good without an actual db to connect to. email your hosting provider .. unless they have a cpanel of some sorts.. then you should be able to set it up through the mysql database options..

They dont have cpanel or anything like that.

fantistico. I have never heard of that and they didnt mention it to me so I would guess no.

They have set up a mysql database and recommended using mysql administor from mysql.com to connect.

I think i have connected to my database. But im not sure. I dont seem able to do anything and it complains about local host.
