Five plugins you can’t live without
-
The plug-in download site doesn’t provide a overview of the popularity of a plugin. So I’m just trying to get a sense here.
So what are the five plugins you can’t live with out?
-
Can`t u people post the links along with the plugins u like ??
https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Plugins
https://dev.wp-plugins.org/
https://www.wp-plugins.net/Batch Categories – Make sure you get the fix for the WP v1.5
Coffee2code’s Customizable Post Listings – adore it!
Eric Meyer’s Next and Previous Posts is buggy but fixable and has more “controllable” features than the default Next/Previous post tags
I also can’t live without the spam plugins and Plugin Manager
And just as a sixth plugin which I like, but I turn it on and off since it is power hungry and not always necessary for me is WYSIWYG – WordPress Editor which provides an “HTML Editor and Preview” in the Write Post textarea. It is pretty awesome for those who want to really “see” what they are creating as they create it.
Now, if someone had a tag coloring plugin for the Write Post screen, I’d have to come up with a really, really, good reason NOT to uninstall my HTML editor program. Everything would be able to be done in WordPress!
i can’t live without my wp-mail hack. It does a lot of things better then the standard wp-mail, but the biggest feature is the ability to upload images in e-mail’s.

In no special order, they are all special and they are special since they are the elite among many ??

I have written all my plugins primarily to scratch an itch, mine. So I love them all unquestionably and use them in my blogs –
Referrer Bouncer – bounce back referrer spammers causing them to spam themselves,Plugin for Permanent Redirection of Posts,
Feed Copyrighter to add copyright messages to your feeds,
No NoFollow Plugin to eliminate nofollow from comments,
Unavailable Plugin to make your blog temporarily unavailable for maintenance,
Translator Plugin to provide translation of your blog in eight languages,
AdRotator Plugin- Ad Rotating Solution for your Ads (including AdSense),
Admin Dashboard Hack to make it leaner and faster.
There are few other essential plugins I use but haven’t published yet on advertising, intelligent related entries, intelligent most discussed list, yahoo related entries within blog etc.
I also rely on several external high quality plugins. I will mention the top five off the top of my head, in no particular order:
Paged Comment Editing – Good for managing blacklisted comments, and in general managing comments. Its cousin, Enhanced Post List created by the same cold forging technique is also recommended.Search Hilite – Highlights your search keywords; wish there was a way to turn it off by end-user.
Google Sitemaps – Creates Google SiteMap. However I use a significantly enhanced version.
Hashcash – Comment Spam prevention plugin
Wp-Cache 2 – Speeds up WordPress by caching responses. Has some caveats but it is a Gem.
What about Spell Check? I did a quick GoogleBar search for those words. We all need spell checking!
Wow, did you even try to search? Or, are you just saying that you did?
