I am using AVADA theme. My site is: paradiseofexiles.com

One of the links in my footer is broken. I went to footer php to see if I could correct it. But I see NO coding for links. I appologize for pasting so much code here but I am not sure how else to get assistance. This is the entire code in my footer php. Can anyone tell me if there’s coding here for links? If not, is my footer a widget? I see a footer widget but I certainly see nowhere there to change a broken link.

    [excessive and mangled code removed]

  • Check under widgets that that link is going to the correct page URL. If that doesn’t work, ask the developer of the theme for help – as we have no way to know how commercial themes are coded –

BTW, that footer.php file won’t show this kind of problem – it’s in however you set up the widgets or pages.

Hi, thanks for your reply. I looked under widget and while I can see a widget for the footer, I don’t see any place that shows the links that are currently in the footer, and therefore I cannot correct the broken link. I could show you a screen shot of the footer widget if I could add an attachment here. All that’s there is “footer menu” is selected. Anywhere else you can direct me to go?

Anyone else have any ideas how I can fix this link?
How can it be that hard to find where to the fix the darn thing? ??

Probably not hard if it were a theme we have access to – but as posted above, that’s unfortunately not the case.

Avada theme developers should be providing support – it’s part of what you paid for. Have you asked them?

That said, if there is a footer menu, have you looked under Appearance>Menu ?

OMG! You are SO BRILLIANT! Thank you!!! That was the place! I knew there had to be such a place! I had looked under appearance but only under editor, and did not know about looking under menu. YAY!!! You are the BEST!!!

Cool – glad you found it :)!
