• On my blog on the backend in editor (Gutenberg) if I paste character like é it show question mark on front end
Character encoding set as utf-8 – I see tag meta charset=”UTF-8″ in inspector.
If I type html e.g é it show this as text, doesn’t convert to é
With no success I tried to figure out where the correct charset settings of the theme (Twenty Twenty-Two).
And I even tried to add plug-in for special characters (to add French letters manually) and it do the same – convert correct letters from editor to “?”.

It was started when I switched to Gutenberg and new theme (2022), and on older page created with classic editor and html codes it is still appears (e.g. here https://punkito.com/8756.php/ – words like Vyprávěj and Ye?il?am).
