Fix missing slider (& other issues), despite not having Rocket Load or Mirage?

  • I have not had Rocket Load or Mirage on since setting up Cloudflare, and yet my slider (Genesis Responsive Slider) is gone and I cannot get it back no matter what I try. There are other CSS changes that may or may not be attributed to the activation of Cloudflare, but I can deal with those. The missing slider is driving me nuts.

    I’ve deactivated and reactivated, deleted and redownloaded the Slider plugin, and have tried to load the page with Cloudflare integrated and not integrated with W3TC, and W3TC on or off entirely.

    What should I try now? Any other ideas?

  • Hi @jenniferkaufman,

    Pressing “Apply Default Settings” button will try to enable Mirage and Polish settings also called as Image Optimization and disable Rocket Loader.

    – Please Purge Cache both from Cloudflare and W3TC.
    – Please check if Image Optimization is enable in your plugin.
    – Please check if Rocket Loader is enable from cloudflare.com/a/

    In the Cloudfare Extension of W3TC (which I just turned back on) Rocket Loader is off, Image Processing is all off (Hotlink Protection and Mirage not checked). On the Cloudflare site, Rocket Loader is off and the other options (Mirage, Polish) aren’t options with the free plan I have so far.

    I cleared all caches on W3TC and purged everything from the Cloudflare site.

    Unfortunately, the slider still isn’t visible on Safari or Chrome. The widget area “works”, because when I put a title on the Slider widget it shows up. But the slider will not show up no matter where I place it.

    Thanks so much for your help. The service and site look really nice so far, I’m looking forward to working this out, too!

    @jenniferkaufman could you deactivate the Cloudflare Plugin and verify if the plugin is the main cause of the issue.

    We’ve released version 3.0.4 you may try that as well.
