Fixed Content Box

HI –
I am trying to use this widget to fix a content box (like a featured post) – I want it to be styled just as my other posts are on the front page… but just be fixed.

I am struggling with using other featured post widgets as none are easily letting me style the post (fonts, margins, title position, meta palements, char spacing, etc) as I want (to match the rest of the site).

I am wonder if there is a way to use this widget for a content box rather than a widget. Or if anyone knows of a way to read content into a widget so that it is styled just as it would be if it was a post in a content box.
