Fixed Header/Masthead in twenty fourteen

    Hi,

    I couldn’t find the solution to my issue on the threads on the forum.

    The header in twenty fourteen seems to stay fixed or not depending on whether I change different child theme attributes.

    I recently changed something (either in style or the header) and now the the header is not fixed anymore and I’m not sure how to make it fixed.

    I noticed that there are two separate ids: .masthead and .masthead-fixed

    Any ideas how to engage one or the other and how to make them stay fixed.

    I did notice that if I make .site-header {position: fixed;} that it fixes it, but it also pushes the whole website up underneath it and I couldn’t figure out how to adjust the website margin to push the website back down.

    Andy thoughts appreciated!
