    Hi,

Is there a way to get a new post summary with a fixed height?

A bit like the way it is with the “more” tag, but then automaticly for all posts.

So when i write a new post, it shows like 50 words and then adds ” read more” after it.

  • I am not quite sure what you mean by “fixed highet”
But maybe you want can be achived with the_excerpt ??

    egjweb,
I came here by mistake… and I see your post is from 10 months ago. Anyway, you can define where the “Read More” will appear by placing a tag “more” (available on the visual editor, when you are editing a post).
Another way, is to write what you want to be the excerpt below the post.

Ok, I’m too late to help you, but at least if someone comes here by mistake and have your doubt, here are the tips sent… 8^)

I solved it like 10 months ago also, using WP excerpt plugin. I can select there that every post summary can only have 35 letters and then it automaticaly inserts the -more- tage.

I could not do it manual because its not my website ??
