fixing my home page and blog page

I am new to this whole process so please forgive my non tech knowledge. I created my pages and was having some problems so I created several pages that were home pages and blog pages. I went through and deleted all of the pages that I didn’t want to use before I set a home page in the appearance customize settings homepage. Now no matter what I do, either my home page or my blog page shows the page can’t be found. I have tried it on several browsers. I cleared cache. What I think I did was delete the home page that is default with wordpress before I assigned a home page. I have restored all my deletes and tried to use them, but they all give me the same message when I try to navigate the web site. I have changed the home page to static and to your latest posts. I still get that page doesn’t exist on my blog page. I am at a loss. Help please.
