If I buy the Pro version of Elementor will you solve the loading issue I am experiencing or will you simply say that it isn’t Elementor’s problem and to take it up with the theme developer?

  • I guess it all depends upon what the problem is. If it really is a theme problem, then we’ll have no choice but to tell you that. Let’s start with discussing the issue though.

Can you give us some details? What do you mean by “loading issue”? Do you mean you can’t edit with Elementor? If so, please look at https://docs.elementor.com/article/184-cant-edit-with-elementor

If that’s not what you mean, what is happening? Can you share a link to a screenshot?

I wouldn’t buy the Pro version without dealing with what’s happening. The Pro version is great and you probably should buy it for lots of reasons, but not for solving a problem you’re having with loading. It likely won’t solve that.

I actually did just buy the Pro version.

The design side of the Elementor page is grayed out. I can still see what’s on the page and do work but it is all faded out. It is like the page just never fully loads. The loading progress bar at the top of the page never extends all the way to the right – it stops just short. I have deactivated all other plugins so it is not the result of a conflict with another plugin.

I am using the Shopkeeper theme. When I switch to 2015 theme the problem goes away. So it is definitely a conflict with the theme. I am really hoping that Elementor will take the time to resolve this!

Here is a screenshot of the upper right corner of the page where the Elementor edit screen never fully loads: https://photos.app.goo.gl/coT9y6G8APW7yQXr8

I see. The problem is that Elementor can’t fix code within a theme. Only the theme developer can do that.

    How would they do that?

I don’t know. You’ll need to get in touch with the theme’s support team and see if they can figure out how to fix the problem that their theme is causing.

I live how you put that. This is exactly what my fear was. The task is too difficult for Elementor to tackle. Too bad. You have no idea at all what causes this common problem? There are many posts about this exact same issue.

Could you point me to any of those posts? I haven’t seen this particular issue crop up before. I’d be happy to look at them. I’m not saying the task is too difficult for Elementor to handle. I’m saying if there is a line of code in your theme that is problematic, Elementor cannot fix it. They don’t have control over your theme’s code. Your theme developer does. I’m sorry this is happening. It is always frustrating to track down issues.

It looks like the issue is with the default site header or footer and the way Elementor deals with it. If I switch the Layout to “Elementor Canvas” the problem goes away and I can see the editor screen in full color and detail. But then I need to manually add the header and footer back into the page.

Is there any way for the Elementor staff to look at what changes between those two setting and then try to find a solution?

Since you now have Pro, just create your own header and footer with Elementor’s theme builder. And since you are now using Pro, you’ll need to open a support ticket at my.elementor.com. www.ads-software.com rules state that commercial products are not supported here. They’ll be happy to login to your site and help you out.

Once I create an Elementor template, such as the Header Template, how do I then get it to show up in a page I am designing? When I add a new section, and click on the Templates icon, there is nothing there for “My Templates” even after I’ve created a header template. How do I get the header to appear on the pages I create? Or any other template and page.

By setting the Display Conditions. Here’s a tutorial that should answer all your questions: https://docs.elementor.com/article/335-create-headers-using-elementors-theme-builder

Yes, I did get that figured out and I am able to get it to display on certain pages now, thanks.

When I go to add a “Site Logo” all there is is the placeholder image and no way to actually select an image. How would I go about selecting the correct logo image?

Also, if I wanted this header to appear in the middle of another page how would I do that? I know I need to set the condition for it to appear on that page but how do I specify where it is to appear amoung many other Elementor element?

I created a “Product Archive” template and I want that to appear as a block as well in any position and on any page.

The site logo is managed via Appearance > Customize as it is just a part of the native WordPress experience.

You cannot set the header to appear anywhere but the header. You could copy/paste the section(s) and create a normal template to be inserted anywhere, but you can’t use the actual header somewhere else.

For any other questions, please submit a ticket as I mentioned. No more Pro questions are allowed to be answered here. Rules of the WordPress support forum…

    Thanks – I will submit.

I hope they reply as quickly as you!! I’d hate to think that paying for the plugin = drastically slower support response time ??
