  • Probably all of the template files contain errors. Start with header.php and go from there. Work your way down the error list, and correct the ones at the top first. Sometimes fixing one error will fix ten more further down the list.

    Hi ambrosite.
I am sorry, but I am still having a hard time understanding “where” I make these fixes. What file am I supposed to be editing? My custom CSS? php? Please expand.
    Thanks.
    ESP.

That particular validator is checking your XHTML markup, so for that you are only concerned about the PHP files (there is a CSS validator as well, but don’t worry about that right now). Without examining your theme in detail, I could not tell you exactly which PHP files to edit, but you should start with header.php, and work through the errors one at at time.

The problem only exists on my ‘home’ page…click on any other page in my site and all is well. Does this give you any ideas as to the culprit files?
So how do I find out what code I need to change in the header.php file? That is how do I get the validator to check this header?
    Thanks ESP.
